Have you ever wanted to understand music fully the way other musicians do?
Many singers miss out on a vital part of musical training because they find the courses available are only really suitable for instrumentalists or classical singers.
You're not alone! That's why I teach Musicality for Singers: Music theory, reading music, ear training, singing harmonies, working with instrumentalists and producers, pop songwriting, piano skills...
I've recorded a 1-minute vid to tell you all about it or the full text follows below.
Hi, I'm Jules and alongside my vocal coaching I teach musicality for singers, which is developing skills that most instrumentalists take for granted. That's skills like reading musical notation, understanding chord charts and lead sheets, and developing your musical ear.
So, why is musicality important for singers?
Well, not only will it enhance your own singing - your ability to interpret music, to develop your expression and phrasing and style - but it will help you work iwth other musicians. So, if you're in ensamble, perhaps in a band or in a choir. or you're in a studio with other instrumentalists and producers, there's a musical language that people are speaking and it's really important that we as singers can understand and speak that language.
Develping your musicality as a singer is something that will really help you stand out from the crown becuase it's a set of skills that's so often overlooked in other vocal training. but it can really make a difference in your career and also in your enjoyment of singing.
You can learn musicality with me as part of your vocal coaching or as stand-alone lessons, it's really up to you.
So just get in touch and we can build a package together that works for you and where you want to go.
Let’s get singing!
